Martinis

I made up these fun little pops for a weekend with my friends.

The girls loved them and they were super fun to make.

Cars & Tires

For my grandson's 2nd birthday, just this past February, he had a cars themed party.

I made little red cars to resemble Lightning McQueen and paired them with tire pops.

I think the tire pops would be great for a tractor themed party as well. 

I put them all together into a box I covered in black tissue paper, added a chipboard 2, filled with sugar and topped with M&Ms....perfect! 

Graduation Caps

When I had left over cake from an order, I made up some graduation caps.

These were super easy to do and I just love how cute they are!

I think some rounds with Class of 2013 written on them would make for a great gift to a graduate or for a party centerpiece!

Flowers

My SIL was hired to make a cake for the birthday party of a friend.

She inquired about cake pops, so my SIL asked me if I wanted an order.

The request was for pastel colors and flowers.

So I did a combination of shaped flowers, and rounds with flowers free formed on them. 

These have heart sprinkle centers. 

These are sprinkled with white nonpareils.

Beach Balls

I had left over cake from a small order I had, so I decided to give a try to some pops I had been wanting to do.  I made these beach balls using colored sanding sugar.

These were lots of fun and super cute!

Hockey Pucks

My friend was giving her son a hockey themed birthday party.

She hired me to make up hockey puck cake pops.

Her son turned 9, but when asked if he wanted 9 on the pucks, he responded he wanted his hockey jersery number 17 on them.

 

Teacher Appreciation

For teacher appreciation week my best friend rang me up asking if I could whip up some apple cake pops for her kid's teachers.  Of course I jumped at the chance to do this!

These were quite simple and I just love how well they turned out.

I used pretzel sticks for the stems and the leaf I made out of laffy taffy!

I think I'm pretty ingenius for thinking of this!

I zapped the taffy in the microwave for 10 seconds, rolled it out to the desired thickness, then with a sharp knife I free form cut out the leaves.  I scored each leaf with the knife to add the veining, then I curled them slightly to givem them a more dimensional look.

Once they were dried/hardened, I attached them with some of the candy coating. 

My friend put them in mugs filled with M&M's and added a sweet tag that reads:

A good teacher deserves an apple, but you deserve a whole bunch!

Birthday Bouquets

We celebrated my BIL's 40th birthday this month.

For his party I brought along a birthday bouquet/bucket of cake pops.

I made cupcake pops, birthday cake pops, drizzled and sprialed rounds along with a OLD

I wasn't sure how the OLD was going to turn out.

I hand formed the letters, upon dipping they wanted to fall off their sticks. 

I thought quick and placed them on a parchment lined cookie sheet to set.

I gently lifted each on up to redip in the chocolate. 

The backs left a little behind, but they didn't look too bad.

After redipping the chocolate dried in a somewhat streaked and matte finished.

I thought this lended itself quite well to the OLD.

I outlined each letter with white candy coating.

These were a huge hit and being that they were chocolate fudge cake pops, they were exceptionally delicious!

Wedding center pieces

My SIL got married in December.

She wanted cake pop center pieces for the reception tables, so she hired me to make them up.

She chose 3 different styles of pops.

Each center piece consisted of 1 two tier mini wedding cake, 3 'heart globes', and 6 drizzled rounds (3 in pink with white drizzle, 3 in white with pink drizzle, all sprinkled with Wilton's white sparkling sugar).  I assembled each bouquet of 10 into a clear glass vase wrapped in pink tulled tied with black and white ribbon filled with white sugar.

I made 20 of these!

That was a lot of cake pops!

The response from these unique and fun centerpieces was overwhelmingly positive.

 

Bridal Shower

My SIL hosted a bridal shower last year and hired me to make some cake pops for the occasion.

The bride's colors were red and purple, so I did red hearts and purple sprinkles.

My SIL wanted pops that stood up, so this was my first time making 'stick up' pops.

These looked fabulous displayed on the pretty platter my SIL had.

Cupcake

These were the first cake pops I made!

My husband was hosting a 40th birthday bash at our home for me back in 2010.

I really wanted to make these and figured this was the perfect occasion to give them a try.

They made an excellent centerpiece for the table and excellent take home gifts for my guests.

Hello Kitty

For my granddaughter's 3rd birthday last June she had a Hello Kitty party.

I got to work making Hello Kitty cake pops.

These were a lot of fun to make and the joy in my graddaughter's eyes was worth every bit of it! 

I made initial tags to attach to each of the pops.

I arranged them all in flower pots with picks the flavor picks.

These were well recieved and enjoyed by all!

Lions

 

 

My grandson celebrated his 1st birthday on Valentine's Day 2012.

He had a Lion King party theme, so I created more than 60 lion heads that turned out fantastic!

I did half in vanilla cake, half in chocolate.

The candy coating was peanut butter Wilton melts with butterscotch chips for the mane, royal icing eyes and mouth paired with an M&M nose.

As I consider and ponder starting a business in selling cake pops...I have created this blog to showcase the creations I have made to date and will update with each new batch of sweetbites I create.  I have a love and passion for baking and sweets.  I love to feed people and the sweeter the bite, the better!
