Soccer Balls

I belong to a Cake Pop forum and have read many posts about the difficulty of soccer ball cake pops.
I had an order request last week for the first time of Soccer Balls.
I was hesitant at first, but I was up for the challenge.
I was honest with my client that I had never done them before, so I would do a trial run be sure I could produce a quality product.
I was so pleased with myself!  I think they turned out fabulous and so did my client...YAY!
They were a lot of work but so worth the effort.

Fly Fishing

A good friend ordered a bouquet of Fly Fishing themed pops for her son's birthday.
I was a bit nervous as to what to do for this theme, but I came up with these fish.
I made them a grayish color with a slightly darker gray stripe and dusted them with some pearl dust to give them that iridescent look fish have.

These are my vision of a Fly Fishing Reel.
The birthday boy was thrilled with his bouquet of pops.
It was a huge hit with the party goers as well.

Marbled Rounds

These are dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate marbled rounds.
These would be great in a variety of colors and wonderful to mix in with a bouquet.

Live and Learn

Keeping it real.
Working with candy melts isn't always easy.
Some days things go perfectly, other days there are issues.
I was making these Pete the Cat pops for a birthday party.
Everything was going along great until my last step.
After adding the nose and whiskers, the candy coating developed cracks along the nose line.
UGH!
I was devasted as I did not have time to make more and give a perfect product, but thankfully my client was OK with the slight imperfection in these pops.
She was delighted with how they turned out, despite the flaws.  She even told me they look amazing and better than she pictured they would be.
For that I was delighted and happy that she was understanding with the imperfections.
While I am still not 100% sure why the cracking happened, I have an idea and will make adjustments for the next time.

Martinis

I made up these fun little pops for a weekend with my friends.
The girls loved them and they were super fun to make.

Cars & Tires

For my grandson's 2nd birthday, just this past February, he had a cars themed party.
I made little red cars to resemble Lightning McQueen and paired them with tire pops.
I think the tire pops would be great for a tractor themed party as well.
I put them all together into a box I covered in black tissue paper, added a chipboard 2, filled with sugar and topped with M&Ms....perfect!

Graduation Caps

When I had left over cake from an order, I made up some graduation caps.
These were super easy to do and I just love how cute they are!
I think some rounds with Class of 2013 written on them would make for a great gift to a graduate or for a party centerpiece!
